Description:

Albert Einstein once advised a mother to read fairy tales to her son, so that he could become a successful scientist. Fairy tales are not only a good source of moral education, but also a great resource for language teaching and learning. Researches show that extensive reading of stories develops language proficiency in learners.
Sixteen selected folktales, both heard and unheard, have been used in this book to give practice in the four basic language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing. Each unit includes tasks aimed to develop comprehension, spoken and written communication, vocabulary, grammar and literary appreciation. Fit for use as a supplementary reader or self-study book, English through Folktales is both a language companion and a pleasure read.
